TRON:ARES: Between Realities
Coinciding with the start of the Festival of Lights 2025, Disney’s latest film highlight, TRON:ARES, premiered in cinemas. The film follows a highly advanced program named Ares, sent on a dangerous mission from the digital world into reality, marking humanity’s first encounter with AI beings.
Idea & Implementation:
The Festival of Lights provided the perfect platform to showcase the connection between the digital world and reality, extending the immersive experience of TRON:ARES. The projection on the Victory Column (Siegessäule) brought the film’s visual power and stunning effects to life, allowing visitors to experience the story that jumps between digital and real worlds.
As a special highlight, motorcyclists in glowing, TRON-inspired outfits circled the Victory Column, enhancing the futuristic aesthetic of the film.
Success:
The installation made a bold statement for the film’s premiere across Berlin. The combination of video projection, immersive storytelling, and the 360-degree staging of the Victory Column attracted numerous visitors and generated significant social media attention. TRON:ARES sparked cinematic excitement and strong brand engagement – a spectacular launch for the theatrical release.
