Microsoft’s heart beats for a digital Germany
Idea: Digitalization in a memorable visual language
What is digitalization and what topics does Microsoft deal with? The aim was to show this to a large audience in expressive images.
Implementation 2021: A digital journey
The Microsoft Berlin headquarters are prominently located on the corner of Unter den Linden and Charlottenstrasse, and guests can easily see two sides of the striking facade from the Unter den Linden boulevard. The 3D video show “DIGITAL NATURE” was also shown here, a memorable journey through the data streams of our digital age. It was about the economic and social potential of artificial intelligence, to the acceptance of which Microsoft would like to make an active contribution. And it was about sustainability, as Microsoft has been CO2 neutral since 2012 and aims to become CO2 negative by 2030. Of course, digital transformation played a key role in the three-minute show. A data cloud developed from the collapsing facade, which dissolved into binary structures and then symbolically transformed into zeros and ones. Hands joined together, one belonging to a human and the other obviously a robotic hand. Another hand, difficult to tell whether human or machine, tenderly placed a pair of young leaves on the facade. The final motif showed hearts beating in an 8-bit pulse, the 3D effect making this image look particularly vivid.
Success: DIGITAL NATURE is more than zero and one
The visitors became part of digital nature. They were taken on an entertaining journey through the topics that Microsoft deals with. This also brought up things that are otherwise not so obvious, such as the company’s successful commitment to sustainability.
