United Arab Emirates and Israel

Idea: A legendary and magical moment: For the first time, the embassies of the United Arab Emirates and the State of Israel will participate together at the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS. The intention is to emphasise the peace agreement concluded in 2020 and the newly created diplomatic ties, which bring to the fore one of the most important values of the present day: PEACE.

Both embassies have been loyal festival partners for many years and the idea came up to present this common milestone in the history of both countries to a large international audience.

Implementation:  After meticulous research and with a lot of thematic passion, the Festival of Lights team created an emotional 3D videomapping show called "Two countries celebrating peace“. The show consists of 3 parts and first delves into the respective worlds of the two partner countries, showing their unique architecture, art, culture, nature as well as modernity in action. The final part celebrates the common path into a new future after the conclusion of this historic treaty of international understanding.

In keeping with the occasion, there was only one perfectly suitable location for this presentation: Berlin's Bebelplatz, one of the festival's highlight sites! The show on the Hotel de Rome was embedded and artistically perfectly coordinated in a 270-degree overall staging of the square.

In diplomatic and political circles, the performance was extremely welcomed and honoured by the visit of high-ranking representatives of both countries.

Success: The message was carried out into the world!

Each of the approximately 3 million festival visitors comes to Bebelplatz and enjoys the productions at this historic location. During the festival, the Hotel de Rome is one of the most photographed buildings.

Through impressive storytelling based on a historic peace agreement, the impressive 3D video show was thus presented to an audience of millions. With many amazing effects, the visible harmony between the message of the contribution and the artistic design of the video became an absolute festival highlight.

The images of this production will also go down in the history of the Festival of Lights...

The Berlin visitors and thousands of tourists - who took the impressions home with them - as well as the Festival of Lights Multimedia Channel with over 1.4 billion reach ensured that this important event was communicated worldwide and could thus send a clear signal for peace.
