“Love Notes” at Dussmann KulturKaufhaus
Mission:
Since its opening in 1997, Dussmann KulturKaufhaus on Friedrichstraße has been Germany’s largest media department store and a place filled with stories that have captured many hearts. To mark its 25th anniversary, Dussmann sought to highlight this special connection with customers and employees while celebrating a shared love for culture.
Umsetzung:
The Festival of Lights team developed a creative concept to bring personal messages into the public space. Throughout the anniversary year, the Dussmann KulturKaufhaus team collected“Love Notes” —heartfelt messages, memories, and quotes reflecting the deep bond between people and this unique place.
In a stunning light installation, the most touching “Love Notes” were projected onto the façade of the KulturKaufhaus. These glowing messages brought personal stories to life, transforming the building into a radiant canvas of emotions.
This special initiative created a magical atmosphere, reinforcing the KulturKaufhaus as a place of connection, inspiration, and cultural appreciation. More than just a celebration, the anniversary became a tangible and immersive experience for all visitors.
Success: A Radiant Symbol of Connection!
Hundreds of thousands of visitors marveled at the stunning illumination of the Dussmann KulturKaufhaus as personal “Love Notes” were brought to life through vibrant light projections on its façade.
This emotional initiative was supported by targeted PR efforts, extensive social media activities, and integration into the Festival of Lights Multi Media Channel, reaching a global audience of billions.
